The Pungo 125 by Wilderness Systems strikes the perfect balance of size and manageability. Quick, stable, ample storage fore and aft, and not to big for one person to handle, portage and car top. Were happy to provide all the necessary paddling gear IE: Pfd, paddle and pump. After a safety overview, we will assist you in launching your boat if departing from our facility.
NOTE: Sea Kayaking and SUPing on the ocean presents a number of challenges. Before you depart all renters are required to sign a waiver. For your safety, we may ask you questions to determine your proficiency in these sports. Depending on the extent of your experience and the conditions of the weather, we may ask you to paddle within a designated area. Children under 14 must be in a tandem kayak unless very experienced and with experienced adults. This is at the discretion of the Acadia Ocean Adventures staff. We also ask all of our participants to practice leave no trace principals, as it is part of our mission to help conserve the health and habitat of our local waters for future paddlers !
